A trip with Mel's Striper Guide Service, striped bass fishing charters, lasts about 6 to 8 hours, depending on catch, water conditions, and your preferences. I don't end your trip early when you catch your limit, you can release all the healthy fish you want. Obviously we cannot release mortally wounded fish, so I must end the trip if we reach our limit this way
I will have bait and gear, boat(s) rods, reels, tackle, everything you will need for a successful fishing trip ready for you when you arrive.
The boat will also be equipped with the most practical modern electronics, and safety equipment. The list here could go on and on but I'll spare you the details.
While I encourage catch and release the choice is ultimately yours as to whether or not to keep your fish.
If you chose to keep a few I will clean and package them for you.
I encourage you to bring a camera, but I will also take photos as my workload permits (many times I am to busy baiting hooks and releasing fish). These will be available to you as well.
As a striper fishing guide, I target striped bass but we often catch other predator fish by chance such as walleye, large and small mouth bass, and catfish. These fish do not count toward your limit of striper and you may keep these as well.
